Anything Goes Friday

Today I wanted to share with you some things I am super excited about. Mainly, movies and TV shows. The number one show I am eagerly anticipating is:

Game of Thrones (Season 3) March 31, 2013

I am literally on pins and needles of excitement waiting for this show to start up again. HBO is doing a great job with it so far and having to wait almost a year for each new season is pure agony! I am actually still reading all of the novels and it really makes me want to try my  hand at a fantasy one day.

Vikings (Season 1) Showing Now

Hubs and I have recently started watching this new series on the History channel. I'm really liking it. For the History channel it is done very well and it's been holding me over until Game of Thrones starts up again. Learning about the vikings and how they discovered the lands to the west of their home has been very interesting. Good series! I highly recommend it.

Olympus Has Fallen (March 22, 2013)

1. Morgan Freeman
2. Gerard Butler

Need I say more? But I will, one of the best composers of this generation, Trevor Morris, has done the soundtrack. Looks like a good flick and Hubs doesn't know it yet, but we're going to the movies this weekend! =P

Star Trek Into Darkness (May 17th, 2013)

The Trekker in me is jumping up and down screaming like a little school girl at a Justin Beiber concert. No lie. And yes, I called myself a Trekker. Why? Because I have seen every Star Trek series and movie. My aunt is a HUGE trekker (she has the Enterprise phone, guys) and her and my mom introduced me to the original series with William Shatner when I was a kid. I spent my childhood summers going from one Star Trek convention to the next. I even had a pet tribble. See...I bet you didn't know that about me.  Seriously, I could do the live long and prosper signs on both of my hands before I was even in kindergarten. These movies have been well done and my heart sings with joy that they didn't mess them up royally.

P.S. My aunt doesn't actually use the phone. It's a collectors item, never opened, tucked away safely in it's original packaging. Amongst all of her other Star Trek paraphernalia.

Leornard Nimoy and I share the same birthday. =P

Iron Man 3 (May 3rd, 2013)

Omg... I love me some Iron Man!!! Robert Downey Jr. Enough said! (I've always pictured him as my Lucifer in the Nether Books).

The Great Gatsby (May 10th, 2013)

Seriously, all these movies speak for themselves. But - I was so sad when they pushed the release date back on this one. I love Leo, he is a great actor. I've seen all of his movies. I also love that this movie is done by the same director that did Romeo and Juliet as well as Moulin Rouge. It will be epic!!

Man of Steel (June 14th, 2013)

Henry Cavil + Superman = loads of awesome! I fell in love with Henry while he was on the Tudors so to see him star as one of my favorite super heroes is beyond fantastic. Also, there are so many other great actors in this flick. Russell Crowe, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner and so many more!

Seriously, I will be at the movies every weekend in May. Did you see all of the awesome coming out in May? Those are my picks for actually going to a theater to see a movie. All the other stuff I will just Netflix eventually. We only go to the theater for totally awesome movies we just have to see on the big screen. All of these I posted are a must see for me. I will also own all these movies and shows once they are on blu-ray.

My plan this weekend is to see Olympus Has Fallen and do some registry stuff at Baby's R. Us. Also...I get my new bengal kitten Loki on Monday! The day before my birthday - YAY! What an awesome present!

P.S. Thank you all for the wonderful congrats on our baby! I felt her kicking for the first time last night. =) It was super exciting. Also, I think she is going to be a night owl like her momma. =/

Have a great weekend!

#Writemotivation Week 1 Update

It is that time again! I missed March =(, but I am back with a vengeance for May! Here are my goals for this month:

Wrapping Up Write Motivation

Write Motivation goals:
1. Line by line edit third Nether Book.(Finished). 2. Get third Nether Book sent off to editor. (Finished). 3. Write another 20k on NA sci/fi  (not happening this month) 4. Blog at least twice a week. (I did my best). 5. Comment on more blogs. (FAIL)!
All in all I feel accomplished. I am super fail at commenting on blogs. However, I want all of you to know I do read them. It is part of my daily routine (usually while eating breakfast). So just know you've officially been stalked and I love you!
My biggest goal was to get the third Nether book off to the editor and ready for publishing in late June or early July. I succeeded in that and I'm very happy about it! What's up next? I won't lie. I have no hard deadlines until 2014. I am taking the rest of the year off to just write casually before and after my baby girl is born. When I have time, feel inspired, or need to stay sane. It's a weird feeling not having a pressing deadline. The sense of freedo…

Things I Am In Love With Lately

Number One:

Dracula on NBC
Anyone who knows me can tell you that I have a long time love with all things Dracula. I can't even count all the different versions I have of the Bram Stoker novel. So when NBC decided to make a period paranormal drama out of it, I had to check it out. I fell in love, hard. Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays the cold and calculating count Dracula and I tell you what, he could nibble on my veins any day. Jonathan and I go way back. I have loved everything he has been in (especially the Tudors) so combine his hotness and my love of good old Drac and BANG, you've got yourself a swoon fest. The acting is great, the story line is legend with a nice new spin on things, and the music...
...the music is just slap you in the face stunning and inspiring. Who is the composer you ask? Another one of my favorites, Mr. Trevor Morris. Here is a nice little clip:
