WIP Wednesday

Book: Nether Book 3.
Current Word Count: 27,600
 Draft: 1

Almost at 30k words. So close!! If I stay on task I should reach 35k this week. I am hoping that happens. You all know I've been struggling with it so keep your fingers crossed for me and send me good writer vibes!!! I really need to have this draft finished by this month. Actually, I want to finish it by April 19th and get it out to beta readers. I plan for publication sometime in June so this really needs to happen.

I also contacted my cover artist and we will be collaborating to start working on the cover this week. That part is so exciting.

Now, on to my music muse:

Shannon LaBrie - Calls Me Home
Omg this song! Ava and Devon!!

Your Guardian Angel - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Is this not Devon or what?
Favorite lyric in this song: "Even if saving you sends  me to Heaven"
Gives me chills.

(I had to link this youtube video because blogger isn't finding it. Beautiful song, check it out).

Metallica - The Unforgiven
This song is literally on my playlist through out writing this whole book. It totally describes the new world Ava and Devon must navigate through.

Happy Wednesday
Bonnie Rae

Hiatus Over & Why I Was Gone So Long

I am going to sum up my hiatus with one adorable picture:

No, I wasn't just distracted by his cuteness. This little dude suffered a terrible spinal injury while being micro-chipped. No one was at fault. The accident was simply a freak accident. Tragic, but rare and totally a freak thing. Surgery was done and I can say he is recovering well. But, his healing process is a long one and I have never worked with or rehabilitated a partially paralyzed animal before. This is a first for me and I am learning so much.  My shelter is so lucky to have such an amazing and talented vet staff.

I also want to thank the human mom of Waverly McTinybeans for all her advice and taking the time to give it. I know she is a super busy lady and I appreciated every tip.

I have spoken to multiple vets, RVT's and watched every youtube video I could find to help give this guy the best physical therapy I am able. He starts acupuncture sessions next week and little by little he makes progress. His left si…

#Writemotivation Week 1 Update

It is that time again! I missed March =(, but I am back with a vengeance for May! Here are my goals for this month:

Nick Furry

I have been fostering these two adorable house panthers since they were two weeks old. At around four weeks of age I started to noticed something wrong with the little male's left eye.

I contacted my foster coordinator who had me bring him in so our in house vet could take a look at him. She was a bit baffled at what could be causing it so we tested him for various illnesses/cat diseases and they all came back negative. At four weeks old there isn't a lot we could do except wait and see what happened and how the eye developed. After another week I could tell he didn't seem to have vision in that eye and slowly the entire eye globe started to swell. Well, I woke up last Tuesday morning to this:
The vet had me bring him back in and it was apparent the eye would need to be removed. We did not know if it could be a tumor or glaucoma or what the heck the poor little dude had going on. The only issue was that he was tiny and only 1.5 lbs. Typically it isn't that great to do …
