Angela Brown - Speculative Fiction Writer

I've known Angela Brown for a little over a year withing the online writing world. She's awesome, talented, and funny. So today I want to share with you her new release Atone!

A little bit about Angela:

Born and raised in Little Rock, AR, Angela now calls Central Texas home. She's a lover of Wild Cherry Pepsi and chocolate /chocolate covered delicious-ness. Steampunk, fantasy and paranormal to contemporary - mostly young adult - fill her growing library of books. Mother to a rambunctious darling girl aptly nicknamed Chipmunk, life stays busy. Her favorite quote keeps her moving: "You may never know what results come of your action, but if you do nothing there will be no result." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I mean wild cherry Pepsi and chocolate? This is a woman after my own heart already or should I say, you had me at wild cherry Pepsi? Dang, now I really want one.

Her new release Atone looks wild, delicious, and filled with suspense page after page. I haven't had a chance to read it just yet, but it is on my TBR for this month and I can't wait. I might have to push it to the front of the list just from the cover alone:

I mean - Hello....automatic hottie alert!

What harm can come from a kiss?

Caine Fordham knows the danger all too well.

As the Kill Circuit’s top lady-killer, business is good. Yet Caine knows the life of an assassin isn’t meant to last forever, just as love is impossible for him. Who could love a man with poison lacing his veins and a kiss that kills?

When Caine decides to take one last job, deal out one last kiss, he discovers there’s more to life than death, and more to love than pain.
I am a sucker for any male characters with the name Caine!! I literally can't wait to sink my teeth into this read. You can too and for only $.99 cents. Also if you help me spread the word about Angela's new book you can win a gifted copy from me. You know you want to!! I'll announce the winner of Friday.

#Writemotivation Week 1 Update

It is that time again! I missed March =(, but I am back with a vengeance for May! Here are my goals for this month:

Wrapping Up Write Motivation

Write Motivation goals:
1. Line by line edit third Nether Book.(Finished). 2. Get third Nether Book sent off to editor. (Finished). 3. Write another 20k on NA sci/fi  (not happening this month) 4. Blog at least twice a week. (I did my best). 5. Comment on more blogs. (FAIL)!
All in all I feel accomplished. I am super fail at commenting on blogs. However, I want all of you to know I do read them. It is part of my daily routine (usually while eating breakfast). So just know you've officially been stalked and I love you!
My biggest goal was to get the third Nether book off to the editor and ready for publishing in late June or early July. I succeeded in that and I'm very happy about it! What's up next? I won't lie. I have no hard deadlines until 2014. I am taking the rest of the year off to just write casually before and after my baby girl is born. When I have time, feel inspired, or need to stay sane. It's a weird feeling not having a pressing deadline. The sense of freedo…

Things I Am In Love With Lately

Number One:

Dracula on NBC
Anyone who knows me can tell you that I have a long time love with all things Dracula. I can't even count all the different versions I have of the Bram Stoker novel. So when NBC decided to make a period paranormal drama out of it, I had to check it out. I fell in love, hard. Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays the cold and calculating count Dracula and I tell you what, he could nibble on my veins any day. Jonathan and I go way back. I have loved everything he has been in (especially the Tudors) so combine his hotness and my love of good old Drac and BANG, you've got yourself a swoon fest. The acting is great, the story line is legend with a nice new spin on things, and the music...
...the music is just slap you in the face stunning and inspiring. Who is the composer you ask? Another one of my favorites, Mr. Trevor Morris. Here is a nice little clip:
