VMA's 2013

You know I had to go here. VMA's happened last night. Well, I was at a wedding but I made a point to record and catch up on what went down.

First things first:

NSYNC!! Yes, I admit it. Back in the days of non-crazy Britney Spears, I loved me some Nsync. JT, enough said! I loved his curly mop back then.

What did you think? They did Bye, Bye and I went nuts watching it!! Loved the dance moves even with the little slip up. Those men still got it!!
Next up: Katy Perry and Roar. I really enjoyed this performance. People are complaining she looked to slutty. Um...what? Seriously? Did you see Miley's performance? Katy was far from slutty. I love Katy Perry and I think this performance was totally Katy and very tasteful. Haters are going to hate, but she did wonderful. And under the bridge was super neat!!

And even though I am a bit tired and over Taylor Swift, I had to laugh at her acceptance speech. She totally called out Ha…

The Ugly Stepsister Strikes Back

I picked up this little gem of a book for my kindle back when it was on sale. I had it for a few months before I finally got around to reading it. I was hooked after the first chapter.

Sariah Wilson creates a perfect teen angst Cinderella story with a nice twist. This time it is all about the ugly stepsister. Finally, can the under dog win for once? Although, in the real Cinderella the stepsisters were vile and you hated them right off the bat. The ugly stepsister in this book, Mattie, is far from vile. She's a quiet, likes to draw, and head over heels in love with her sister's boyfriend. What's a girl going to do?

She's going to turn the tables, that's what!

This was a cute, quick, and very fun read. My only gripe was that the author never let you forget how in love Mattie is with a boy named Jake. Forget in love, this girl is obsessed. I found my eyes rolling several times until I paused and a little voice in the back of my head spoke to me. This voice reminded m…

Celeberties...Why?

It all started with the Britney Spears meltdown in 2007. You remember that don't you? The head shaving, umbrella wielding, psychotic break? I remember it. I was sad. Say what you want, but I loved Britney back in her youthful days.

For example, most of you might remember this performance. It is my favorite one she ever did.

Mtv Music Awards 2000
Seven years later she fell apart. She's never been the same since. How and why? Drugs and childhood stardom. Apparently these two things mixed together equal mental disorders. I know she's made her comeback, but like I said, she's not the same. She has never been that on or that awesome since. Not that I don't still love her. I do, but still. Not. The. Same. Next up and this one is by far the saddest for me: Heather Ledger's accidental overdose in 2008. I cried. Literally, broke down and cried. I guess because like most of the rest of the world, no one knew he had a darker side. He still is one of my favorite actors and…

I'm A Mom!

So this happened last Sunday evening:

Elise Alyssandra 8/11/13 5:55pm 6lbs 4oz 17.5 Inches long My life is forever changed. I will have a whole blog post about being a new mum later in the coming weeks. Right now we are finding our routine with her and just spending time together as a family.
Also there is this:
Loki has been very curious about his new human sibling. This picture reminded me of Lady and the Tramp. Too cute! If she starts fussing or cries, forget about it. He runs for the hills,  haha. But he is inquisitive and gentle in his actions to explore her. Such a sweet big fur brother. Luna on the other hand couldn't give two meows about it.

We're all doing well. Hubs and I are adjusting to the lack of sleep, but it's worth it.

This is real, I'm a mom!

Pregnancy, Not So Glorious!

Hello again dear readers!

Hopefully by the time you read this, I will have had my baby. If not, pray for the medical staff that has to put up with my crazy overdue butt. Most of these post are being written and auto scheduled so I don't neglect you all after the birth of my princess. I call her a princess because she is already a little diva and she isn't even here yet. Little miss thang needs to hurry up and make her appearance and stop faking me out with false labor. Although, she's my kid so it doesn't surprise me.

I am going to get down to the nitty gritty and be real with you all. Pregnancy has not been for me. I get there are some women out there that love being pregnant. They are delirious and obviously overcome with hormones. I, on the other hand, have drudged through it with very little grace and an even smaller amount of patience.

In the first trimester, I was sick. Now, not as sick as say Kate Middleton or other pregnant ladies who had to be hospitalized bec…

Hey Copper!

Since I have been in lazy mode these last few weeks of pregnancy, I have rekindled my relationship with Netflix. There was a period where they lost the rights to one of the shows I had been half way through and I gave them the silent treatment. That moody phase has disintegrated and I've since found some shows that I not only like, I fell deeply in love with.
Yes, deeply. Maybe because the main actor was a steamy dreamboat of hotness or maybe because it was actually a well written and well done show. Okay, a mix of all of those things. Today, I want to introduce you to Copper.

Tom Weston-Jones (steamy dreamboat of hotness) plays the main character, an Irish immigrant, Detective Kevin (Corky) Corcoran.
This man is on fire!! I loved him in "As the World Ends" (also on Netflix). Seeing him as a ruthless copper in 1860's New York put me in swoon overdrive.

Kevin is on a mission. He not only wants to crack down on crime in Five Points, New York, he also wants to solve a …
