Hey Copper!

Since I have been in lazy mode these last few weeks of pregnancy, I have rekindled my relationship with Netflix. There was a period where they lost the rights to one of the shows I had been half way through and I gave them the silent treatment. That moody phase has disintegrated and I've since found some shows that I not only like, I fell deeply in love with.

Yes, deeply. Maybe because the main actor was a steamy dreamboat of hotness or maybe because it was actually a well written and well done show. Okay, a mix of all of those things. Today, I want to introduce you to Copper.

Tom Weston-Jones (steamy dreamboat of hotness) plays the main character, an Irish immigrant, Detective Kevin (Corky) Corcoran.

This man is on fire!! I loved him in "As the World Ends" (also on Netflix). Seeing him as a ruthless copper in 1860's New York put me in swoon overdrive.

Kevin is on a mission. He not only wants to crack down on crime in Five Points, New York, he also wants to solve a mystery very close to his heart. His wife's gone missing and his little girl was murdered.

If you like CSI or Criminal Minds, you will love this. It's an 1860's version that blew my mind away. The characters are colorful and exciting. The setting is rugged and believable. The mix of drama and crime solving is a perfect blend. Seriously, you don't want to miss this one!  Copper is currently airing it's second season on BBC America (which much to my displeasure we do not have here in California). Luckily the whole first season is available to stream on Netflix. Honestly, it's so good I might watch it again. (Mainly to stare and drool over Tom Weston-Jones). Hey, at least I am being "real" with you guys! I'll already know what happens so I can just concentrate on the eye candy this time around.

If you love history and crime shows, you can't go wrong with this gem!

#Writemotivation Week 1 Update

It is that time again! I missed March =(, but I am back with a vengeance for May! Here are my goals for this month:

Wrapping Up Write Motivation

Write Motivation goals:
1. Line by line edit third Nether Book.(Finished). 2. Get third Nether Book sent off to editor. (Finished). 3. Write another 20k on NA sci/fi  (not happening this month) 4. Blog at least twice a week. (I did my best). 5. Comment on more blogs. (FAIL)!
All in all I feel accomplished. I am super fail at commenting on blogs. However, I want all of you to know I do read them. It is part of my daily routine (usually while eating breakfast). So just know you've officially been stalked and I love you!
My biggest goal was to get the third Nether book off to the editor and ready for publishing in late June or early July. I succeeded in that and I'm very happy about it! What's up next? I won't lie. I have no hard deadlines until 2014. I am taking the rest of the year off to just write casually before and after my baby girl is born. When I have time, feel inspired, or need to stay sane. It's a weird feeling not having a pressing deadline. The sense of freedo…

WIP Wednesday

What's that? I am actually blogging?

L O L

I try. I won't lie, I am hard pressed for time with a baby but I am pre-scheduling posts so that should help me.

WIP Wednesday tunes this week are:

Say Something - A Great Big World Featuring Christina Aguilera
Asleep - The Smiths
Warrior - Beth Crowley
I am struggling to find time to write, but when I do these songs have been on repeat this week. Trying to find a good rhythm to write/read/critique/blog is challenging. I know that once baby is on a better schedule things will get easier. I want to thank all of you who keep checking back with my blog to see if there is a post. It means the world to me. I am working on plenty of posts for the month by writing them in advance so please continue to check this space out. I will be showcasing some other fascinating authors and their up coming/current releases.
