Harry Potter or Ron Weasley? Lets Get Real...

On February 2nd, The Daily Mail posted the following article:

JK Rowling admits Hermione should have married Harry

She stated that she basically had Ron and Hermione end up together to make a majority of her fans happy. I am just glad she admitted that if she could go back she'd put Hermione ending up with Harry. Don't hate me, but I have always wished for a Harry/Hermione romance. Yes, I even wrote a fan fic about it. I know, I know, I'm one of thoooooose Potter people, but you can't disagree with me completely.

Hermione needed someone who could truly challenge her. Lets get real, Ron can't do that. The only challenge he was capable of was making her jealous. To me, they were so boring. Harry really understood Hermione and they were alike in a lot of ways but they also had a balance of differences that could have completed them as a couple. I remember reading the epilogue and getting angry when I finally got to see who ended up with who. Sure, Ron and Hermione could have had an adolescent romance but I really don't think they would have made it into a an adult one. Ginny is nice and all but, to me, she was on a different level. Harry and Hermione just always seemed like they were on the same page.

I'll never forget when I read the chapter where Hermione is all upset because of Ron leaving (while they were hunting for Deathly Hallows) and Harry got her to dance with him in their tent. I tell myself that was JK's way of giving us Hermione/Harry fans a little bit of romance hope. I loved that scene and it's one of my favorite parts in all the books.

And if it wasn't going to be Harry then it should have been Draco! That evil blond could have really given Hermione a challenge or two. (Or three or four). I can't lie, I wrote a Hermione/Draco fan fic too.

Even though the books and movies make the love story Ron and Hermione, it has been anything but for me.

What do you think? I'd love to hear you guys weigh in on this.

  1. I can't agree with the Draco idea, but I totally agree about Harry/Hermione.

Hiatus Over & Why I Was Gone So Long

I am going to sum up my hiatus with one adorable picture:

No, I wasn't just distracted by his cuteness. This little dude suffered a terrible spinal injury while being micro-chipped. No one was at fault. The accident was simply a freak accident. Tragic, but rare and totally a freak thing. Surgery was done and I can say he is recovering well. But, his healing process is a long one and I have never worked with or rehabilitated a partially paralyzed animal before. This is a first for me and I am learning so much.  My shelter is so lucky to have such an amazing and talented vet staff.

I also want to thank the human mom of Waverly McTinybeans for all her advice and taking the time to give it. I know she is a super busy lady and I appreciated every tip.

I have spoken to multiple vets, RVT's and watched every youtube video I could find to help give this guy the best physical therapy I am able. He starts acupuncture sessions next week and little by little he makes progress. His left si…

#Writemotivation Week 1 Update

It is that time again! I missed March =(, but I am back with a vengeance for May! Here are my goals for this month:

Nick Furry

I have been fostering these two adorable house panthers since they were two weeks old. At around four weeks of age I started to noticed something wrong with the little male's left eye.

I contacted my foster coordinator who had me bring him in so our in house vet could take a look at him. She was a bit baffled at what could be causing it so we tested him for various illnesses/cat diseases and they all came back negative. At four weeks old there isn't a lot we could do except wait and see what happened and how the eye developed. After another week I could tell he didn't seem to have vision in that eye and slowly the entire eye globe started to swell. Well, I woke up last Tuesday morning to this:
The vet had me bring him back in and it was apparent the eye would need to be removed. We did not know if it could be a tumor or glaucoma or what the heck the poor little dude had going on. The only issue was that he was tiny and only 1.5 lbs. Typically it isn't that great to do …
